A blog? Isn’t that like digital reality TV? Well, yeah. But all the cool kids are doing it. And it sure seems like a good way to communicate. And with all the new endeavors I am embarking on, it seems the right thing to do.
The goal is to share some information, provide a gateway to the sessions I am doing on Udemy (more anon later), and generally get with the new millennium.
My focus, as you can see from the name of the blog, is nuts and bolts real word stuff. The stuff everyone does every day. You won’t find a lot here about API programming and Adaptive Components and the like. Not because that stuff isn’t useful. It is! But there are other’s who know those topics better. So I am going to focus on the basics. But not the mundane. Revit can be a blast to use. Architecture can actually be fun, with the right tools. I want to help people learn those tools.
I should note that I have a very soft spot in my heart for single family residential work, for schools and libraries and theaters and museums and work that really touches people. And small offices. If you have interests in that kind of work, we’ll get along smashingly.
On occasion I will also link to other stuff on the interwebs that strikes my fancy, mostly of an architectural nature, but always with an eye to design, or making, or process.
I plan to have fun. I hope you enjoy the ride as well.
